Hi friends! Gosh, I still cannot believe another whole year has passed. It feels like yesterday that we were closing out 2021 and getting ready for our big move. And now one year later, I find myself sitting in our new house on my couch in front of my big living room window, looking at a Christmas Tree and a stack of baby clothes, and feeling this little girl kicking in my belly as I type. What a year it’s been!

A lot has happened, and a lot is coming up! I know some of you might have questions, and I want to keep you all in the loop. You’ve come along on my journey this far, and I cannot properly express how deeply grateful I am that you’ve followed along this far. Because just by being here, you have supported my business in more ways than you know. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Okay, so now for the update. I thought instead of some lengthy, wordy blog post, it would be fun to do this a little different. Remember those Myspace Surveys we used to fill out back in the day? It was kind of like BeReal, only you had to share what was happening in that moment by answering every question truthfully (including which object was sitting closest to you. Juicy stuff!!) Well, I’m about to give you my 2023 New Year Life Update, Myspace Survey Style.

Here goes!

2023 New Year Totally Awesome Survey

What is one of your best memories from 2022?

So many great moments come to mind! Moving into our new house and ripping out tile floors, having a “sunset tailgate” with my team in the back of the uhaul on a cliffside after a setup in Malibu, finding out we were pregnant!

Where did you spend New Years Day?

Mostly in bed! 🤪

What are you most looking forward to in 2023?

New opportunities for growth, finding a new rhythm, becoming a mother.

Who are you thinking about?

The little girl that’s kicking inside my belly!

What was your greatest accomplishment of this past year?

Buying a house, taking on fewer weddings and making more time for myself, building passive income.

What is the craziest thing you did in 2022?

Made another human!

What was the last thing you ate?

Leftover pasta

What was the last movie you watched?

Glass Onion

What are you wearing?

A flannel and some very, very stretchy leggings

What are you excited about right now?

Creating a marketing plan for this year, recording new podcast episodes, planning my baby shower, the birth of my sister’s baby!

What is coming up in your future?

A whole lot of I don’t know! But also a handful of weddings, two baby showers, and lots of new opportunities for learning and growth.

Who do you miss?

My family in Washington (who I just celebrated Christmas with, but no amount of time with them is ever enough!)

What are your biggest goals for the new year?

To create a new online course, create more business resources, and find a new rhythm between work and home.

What was the last show you watched?

White Lotus

What was your proudest moment in the last year?

Seeing my online business thrive!

What does your hair look like?

It’s half curled in the front, the back is a hot mess (I had a Zoom call earlier!)

What is one thing you want to change in the New Year?

I would like to have healthier habits for eating and exercise.

What are you drinking right now?

Water (from my new Stanley tumbler!) I’ve been constantly dehydrated in my pregnancy. I’m terrible at drinking water!

What is in the back of your mind right now?

What I am going to make for dinner…

Where are you right now?

Sitting on my couch as it becomes dark in my living room! Why does it get dark so early??

Where will you be going next?

I do have a Target order pickup!

So there you have it – a few fun and random (hopefully somewhat interesting) facts about me. And in all seriousness, I will close with this. If you were to ask me what I foresee happening with life and business in 2023, my answer would be that I truly don’t know. While there is a lot to look forward to, there are a lot of unknowns! It’s a beautiful thing – but also scary. I am not sure exactly what 2023 will bring, but I do know that I feel wholeheartedly prepared and ready for whatever comes. And I know from years past, both challenging and wonderful, that whatever it is will bring growth, wisdom, and strength. That is one thing I can count on, and that is what I am looking forward to most!

I hope that if you are experiencing any uncertainty going into the new year, it’s the happy, giddy kind! Even if you aren’t quite sure what to expect, you can still walk forward with confidence. We’re in this together!

If you made it this far, and if you’d like, please leave me a comment or shoot me a DM. I would love to know what you are looking forward to in the new year!

Until next time, sending love and wishing you lots of growth, happiness and success!

XO, Sarah W.
