This classic garden style wedding at Greystone Mansion & Gardens planned and coordinated by Star Hansen Events was filled with florals – just the way we like it! Our bride Cassie wanted timeless blush and white florals for her ceremony in the gardens at Greystone Mansion with an ever so slight pop of deep plum adding the perfect touch of rich romance. Beautiful custom banner signs were hand painted by Cecile’s Paper Co with images of the mansion and calligraphed lettering guiding guests throughout the property.

We enjoyed designing a lush ceremony installation surrounding the fountain in the gardens, with two arching towers of florals surrounded with ground floral arrangements. The couple exchanged their vows amongst the flowers as their guests enjoyed the ceremony in gorgeous Montpellier chairs from Theoni Collection. The aisle was also lined with garden style florals in the form of grounded arrangements. One of my favorite details of the ceremony was the two sets of beautiful garden urn floral arrangements which sat atop large classic urns on stone pedestals at the aisle entrance.

Perhaps one of the most memorable details was the beautiful custom gold shelf escort display covered in florals at cocktail hour. As guests mingled on the terrace and enjoyed an open bar and mauve velvet lounge vignettes, they were guided to their seat by finding a custom chimney bud vase, each with a custom name tag, holding delicate fresh garden roses. The chimney vases were handmade by Ceciles Paper Co. – each one modeled after the chimneys on the property of the historic Greystone Mansion.

For their reception in the grand courtyard, guest dined at round tables in beautiful white tufted chairs also from Theoni, and mauve velvet linens provided the perfect muted pop of color. Lush, low garden style floral centerpieces were designed in cement compotes with blush and mauve garden roses and plenty of greenery and texture for a romantic look. The florals were accompanied by beautiful custom place settings from Theoni, and each setting had a printed black paper menu by Cecile’s Paper Co.
